We have reservations at Tom Sawyers for 5/17 and 5/18. I understand they are closed right now due to high water....are they actually under water again or is the water just dangerously high? We can stop by there at some other time, just curious to hear their status from someone in the area. Thanks!!

We were at Tom Sawyer in 2011 after the 'big' flood and they said they were under 17 feet of water. It won't be that bad this year, they think, but it'll still take some time to dry out.
EZ Daze is a fine park, with amazing people. We stayed there during a tornado event.. 3 days of off and on sirens. Knowing we were from the NE and not used to such things, they really kept an eye on us!
Tom Sawyer is really a nice park. Just sitting and watching the tugs and barges going up and down the river was interesting. We were there on our way home from the Natchez Trace trip. Will go back one day.

We had a reservation there for the 16th. I called them today and they said that they won't be open by then. I had already made a just in case reservation at EZ Daze in Southaven, Ms. We'll try Tom Sawyer another time. I was looking forward to staying there.
We live in West Memphis and we drove by there about an hour ago and they are underwater. The water is up to the levee. Tom Sawyer is between the levee and the river. The water is supposed to start going down in about another week but it'll be a long time before the park is up and running again. They basically have to rebuild the roads and all electrical etc before they can reopen. There is a KOA just a few miles up I-55 north of us that is nice-you might check it out if you want to stay in the West Memphis area.
