Yosemite N.P.

Trying to find a good rv. park around Yosemite National Park. I have found three parks but we want parks with 8.5 or higher. Any suggestions??

  • Only one we've stayed at is in Coarsegold don't remember the name. It was just OK

Look at rvparkreviews.com for reviews from RV owners who have stayed at the parks.
  • We stayed at the KOA in Mariposa. The only problem we had was the steep hill and gravel roads within the campground. Leaving the CG site and going down hill from the site to the main highway made me nervous. Just need to be careful because at the bottom of the hill you could end up in the middle of the main highway if you were being pushed by the camper and lose traction in the gravel. We made it okay. But, this said would stay there again. We drove to Yosemite and were unable to return by the direct route to the campground due to a fire that closed the road. Had to take the long way around but found an excellent Mexican restaurant on the way!
  • We stayed at Yosemite Lakes, about five miles from the Park entrance. Not the greatest park, but full hook-up and the price was fairly reasonable for a full hook-up. I don't remember what the rating was.
