Since you don't have a trailer, the length limit you need to worry about is the maximum vehicle length limit. Your 31 ft motorhome will be able to get and fit into a 35 ft maximum site with at least four feet to spare.
In general, I think it's easier to maneuver a motorhome than a trailer of the same length, though it may in some cases require a little more back and forth--particularly with a class C that often has a rather limited turning radius. That's why the length limits for trailers are sometimes more stringent.
