Yuma Elks lodge

I was in Yuma the first part of this year and the lodge grounds was pretty much torn up. Seems to me I heard the lodge was moving east is there any truth to this? Has any one been there and seen what may be happening? Probably easier to call but this more enjoyable.

Was at the Elks last night for the chicken buffet. Huge crowd and the new lodge is very nice but only time will tell about the layout.

The American Legion in Yuma also has dry parking available.

I am not a techie when it come to computers. So I would be no help for them. Also I live just a couple of miles from the center point of California. That would make my trip over 500 miles.

They need to up-date their site. I have sent e-mail a week ago buy no reply. I was planning on stopping by on my trip. I am glad the I found out before I showed up. I wonder how many other Elks and Moose lodge have changed with out notice?

That Yuma Elks website has not been updated since April 2014 before the lodge moved this past summer. The old property is now the Yuma Regional Hospital Cancer Center. The property ended up becoming a center piece for the hospital. I do hate to see the old RV sites go away because they sure were handy for someone visiting the hospital.

Just went on the Yuma Elks web page that is through the national Elks site. They show on this site the the lodge has 26 RV spaces for $8.00 per night with 5 day max. If this has changed the lodge need to change it.

I believe it has something to do with the Yuma city ordinance prohibiting overnight RV parking any place except an RV park, which is rigidly enforced. The old location was grandfathered because they were doing it before the ordinance was enacted, but when they moved, they lost their exemption.

Just talked to Yuma Elks and no RV parking. What a shame I used that facility every year. It was so appreciated I paid for a membership to support them.

Texan, not sure what the lateral is? But yes it is down towards that canal.

I seem to recall some controversy over RV spots at the new lodge....better call them directly.
