I spent three night there last February. The sites were crushed rock as I recall and good sized. It is a huge park (1,900+) sites. I don't recall there being any freeway noise despite the proximity to it. The Goldwater bombing range is about 5 miles south and there is occasionally some fighter plane traffic in the area. Usually not much and they rarely fly at night. We didn't use any of the park amenities so I can't comments on them. There is a great Fry's grocery store nearby.
