Yuma & San Diego area

We will be traveling out to Yuma and El Cajon area in Feb. Any recommendations for those two areas? We like to use passport if possible but are traveling with a 30ft fiver and no pets.

  • X3 for Santee Lakes. We were there a few weeks ago. A really nice place. Roomy sites. Good WiFi.

Also, when you reach Dateland, be sure to stop for one their Date Shakes. If you're travelling on I-8, be sure to top off your gas tank in Yuma or El Centro, so you don't get stuck gassing up in Ocotillo's highway robbery gas station. The next major convenient gas stations on 8 after Ocotillo are at Acorn Casino and Alpine.
  • Believe you will find passport not valid until April.
  • We just left Yuma and haved stayed at Caravan Oasis for the past few years. Currently at Chula Vista RV Resort in the San Diego area which is wonderful!!! Can't recommend any PA parks.
  • I have been in both places recommended above and can also recommend them. Not much to do around Dateland but Santee Lakes is great.
  • Just east of Yuma is a little park in Dateland, AZ called Oasis at Aztec Hills. Fairly inexpensive, but I don't know if they take any discount programs. And they don't have a website, you have to call them. Great little place with friendly people, though.
