A couple weeks ago someone ask about making a TH out of a cargo trailer. This is my project. The trailer is a 6x12 Haulmark. I replaced the drop axle with a straight for more ground clearance. I started out with the idea of a couple particleboard shelves including the top. A Coleman stove was going to complete the job. Then our Son showed up with new solid cheery cabinets and that upgraded the project.. Clicky link!Nicely done indeed!What is the quick connect thingy and ball valve on the floor under near the stove top for? If it's a propane connection, I would think it not unwise to have some sort of a guard around the valve to keep from accidentally kicking it open.

The propane valve is/was for the heater. The valve is close enough to the toe-kick that it can't be turned on accidentally. I also checked the quick connect that it doesn't leak. Also, when camping, the table is down the valve is hidden.. I have since drilled a hole with cover in the back floor to use a second tank for the Buddy Heater that mounts on the wall/ramp. Being warm when it's 0* outside is nice but not at the expense of running out of propane and not being able to make coffee in the morning. I removed the paneling and insulated the walls which helps a lot.

I was so anxious to go on the maiden desert solo camping trip that I forgot to fill the water tank. So much for the pressurized water system. :(

On one of those "Car" shows on TV, they took an Airstream and cut the back off and made it hinge up like the nosecone on a cargo carrying airplane. Was a beautiful job to convert an Airstream into a toy hauler.

A couple years ago I converted a 24ft Chateau TT into a toy hauler. Lost my online photo sharing account but basically in process of rebuild I shored up the floor in the back and built a ramp door with spring counter balance. Turned out great and towed wonderful. With two full dress bikes in it I had about 425 on the hitch and camper ended up 800 pounds lighter than started weight. Ended up trading it for a cargo trailer but I am now starting another on. Hope to get some shareable pic's soon. it is a 1978 Bendix Citation. Going to do a full off frame on this one. Too much bad wood and a rotten roof.

Nice job

I did the conversion on a 7x14 pace. had it built with a side window, side door relocated for where I wanted it. By the time it was done it would hold 3 bikes, has AC, propane water heater, propane stove, propane forced air heat, 40 gallon grey, full shower with porta potti, cabinets,sink, 15 gallon fresh water tank,microwave, awning, wardrobe, table, drop down bed, drop down couch/bed, dorm fridge, 120V power along with 12V. and it is easy to use when we go out riding for the day, unlike a big toyhauler.

My only regret is not starting with a 8x16.

One thing I learned in camping at my winter home near Flagstaff AZ. even with my "roto-tenna" I couldn't get local stations but could get stations from Mexico. I have since learned that American stations are restricted as per power output that Mexicans aren't. Isn't there something wrong here??..One advantage, I saved battery power..

Yeah, the **** kid cost me a lot of work, :) but it was fun. I was so anxious to go on the maiden desert solo camping trip that I forgot to fill the water tank. So much for the pressurized water system. :(
