Digital TV mounting Bracket

I have an idea to remove my tube TV from above the front windshield. Is there a swing down bracket that I could mount inside that empty cavity and the new digital flat TV would drop down to a more pleasant viewing height for viewing, but store up high when travelling? Thanks. Bill

Plenty of mounts like this on Ebay. Plenty of posts of how others have done this on here. I'd look for a LED TV as they draw very little power.
*On second thought: look at my post. While my TV over centers so it lays flat by it's own weight... you could make side L arms (mine are U) where the TV sticks further out when flat and would lower down more than mine does when vertical. You could also make it where it goes more than 90 degrees so it would be pointing down some.
This TV is different from the one in the "post" above as I changed it out and went with a larger LED with a Matte finish.

The bolt on the side of the grey arm is the pivot point for my mount which is about heRe.
  • LaPlaya, there are hundreds if not thousands of mounts. Problem may be picking one, rather than finding one :)
  • I nant to do the same and found this mount. It moves side to side, in and out and up and down. Up and down is what I wanted, like you, to bring the TV lower for better viewing

  • I used the following TV mount in my Southwind with no problem so far. Being a worrier I did tie a piece of Velcro around the arm at first in case. I stopped doing that and No problem so far
