DIY end table

Between sofa slide out & refrigerator is 9" wide wasted space. Found a large kitchen cabinet door at a salvage store and took it and measurements to a cabinet man. Could've done ourselves but we're traveling for a while and don't have necessary tools. Table Top fills the gap, not tight, however. Instead of buying 4 legs, we had him cut 2 pieces for 4" wide legs so there is one leg front and one back. Back one is shorter since it sits on a raised channel that runs along back of sofa. We screwed them on with L brackets. Done deal. Bonus is the color is perfect match to the other cabinets. I remove table and lay it on bed when we move. Makes huge difference.
  • Sounds great, and a good use of that space - it's amazing how often RVs lack a simple little side table to put down a drink or plate. I bought a small folding table to fill the need, but it's a cheapie and doesn't match. I wonder how many people ever bother to screw in those dining tables that have a floor mount in front of the sofa for some RVs. Ours lives in the garage.
  • Nice idea, and it sounds like it works out very nicely for you.

Any chance you could post a picture or two when you get a moment?
