Durability of Command strip hooks and hangers?

I am considering using Command strips to hang some lightweight items in the motor home. How do they hold up in summer heat (in Tennessee), in a closed up RV? This is assuming the surface prep ...

Sounds like a much better solution than what the twits that owned our Tango did before we bought it.
They ran long screws right through the wall, protruding outside, to hang an ugly decoration that weighed maybe 12 ounces.....
