Ice Maker 1/4 25ft plastic line coversion to stainless

I jumped the gun and bought this on amazon. IM300SS (AQU14300) Ice Maker Connectors 25-Foot.

My new rig sat out at the dealer for two winters and the plastic tubing is cracked. I haven't been able to take it in for warranty service yet so I've spliced it twice now.

Does anyone have experience with doing a conversion to the stainless?
Anything special that I need to know?
