It's that time of year to think of heat.
I have 2005 Fleetwood Excursion 39S DP, Cat C7, Allison, and two furnaces.
While traveling during the winter months the heater (running off of the engine hot water) up front heats that area nicely. In the rear, while it gets a little heat from the engine under the bed, it is cool to cold back there. I have run the rear furnace, but that of course uses propane.
Under the bed there is lots of room to install an auxillary heater that would run off of the hot water lines running from the engine to the front heater which run right under the bed anyways. I assume I'd install a heater with a 12V two speed fan. There's a 12V fuse panel under the bed so power is no problem. I would cut a hole in the bed pedistle, mount the heater under the bed so that the heater grill is even with the outside of the bed pedistle. If the heater grill doesn't look nice enough I can easily put a better cover over it.
Does anyone see any reason not to do this or have better suggestion?
