Non Slip shower floor

We have a fiberglass shower enclosure in the trailer however the bottom is almost smooth with no tread moulded in. To prevent slippage, I have tried several shower mats but they slide and have also tried the non-skid stick down white rubber non skid strips available at HD. After preping and cleaning the shower surfce as directed.. THEY TO come loose.. anuone found a stick down type of shower tread that will work as advertised?
  • They sell a clear sray paint product that adds grip. I dont know if its safe for the shower pans, but take a look.
  • that reminds me, some of the vinyl mats I looked at were able to be tossed into the clothes washer. but at $1.80, why bother? but I haven't seen them post covid.

  • I use white plastic soft vinyl shelf liner that comes on I believe it is a 24 inch wide roll. It is like the spongy nonskid shelf liner with the square holes in it used to keep dishes from sliding around. It felt a little weird standing on it at first, but I got used to it and stopped noticing it. I cut mine about 24 x 16 or 18.

The only problem was that although being solid vinyl and it does not soak up water, water did get trapped under it, so I had to hang it to drip dry or stuff would start growing under it. When it does need cleaning I lay it in the tub and scrub it with a soft bristled brush with a little Dawn or clean it with Soft Scub with Bleach when I clean the tub and walls.
  • I used white stick on non-skid strips from Walmart that have been in place for about 3 years with no signs of loosening up yet. After cleaning with a tub cleaner, I went over the area with alcohol wipes before applying the strips.

  • They to came loose? Very unusual. My cheapo from Big Lots works great.
