Oxygenics Shower Head Shutoff

Recently installed the Oxygenics Shower Head from Camping World and the shut off that came with the unit constantly dribbled water when the valve is shut off. We solved this problem by installing a flow adjuster Lasco # 08-2469 ($5.29 at Ace Hardware) in place of the shut off valve provided and solved the dribbling shower head issue. We boon dock and could not see wasting water unnecessarily. Hope this helps those who want to eliminate the constant dribbling.

Exactly! Everywhere I read about the oxygenics shower head, always explained that it was designed to prevent the cold/hot blast by allowing a trickle when you hit the shut-off. Well, I really like the shower head, but always get hit with a blast of cold water when turning it back on...

Ours was cold with the trickle as well. I hated it. In our previous TT, the shower was so small and me being big (6'5"), I couldn't get away from the freezing trickle, so I had to drop the wand in the floor of the shower in between using it. On our new fiver, the stock shower head is nice, and the valve actually shuts the water off completely. If it has been more than a minute from using the head, I just aim it away for a second after turning it on to get warm water again, otherwise it works great.

Our new Oxy with control on handle goes cold at a trickle, I am wondering if it has something to do with anti scald valve in shower?

In our tt the trickle was hot and in our mh its cold. Same shower head moved to mh from tt.

That is kooky, Brian. I like the trickle too, but mine stays warm.

The cut-off is designed specifically to trickle water so you don't get a shock of too hot or too cold water. It may not be what you want, but that's why it does it.

Agreed. Also I like the trickle because it allows me to re-wet my hands as I soap up.

X3, I like the built-in trickle.

You can find those half inch pipe thread shutoffs just about everywhere. Especially at home centers and hardware stores. ๐Ÿ™‚

I installed mine and it came with the shutoff. unfortunately, where it connected to the shower faucet it broke, so I had to mount the shower head to the stock hose... Oh well, the shower head and shutoff are well worth it!;)

Mine broke too. That's why I bought a shutoff valve. While I was at it I bought a real shutoff valve, not one that dribbles.

I bought this cut-off valve. It cuts the flow off completely or any reduced flow you want.

Siroflex plastic flow control valves (these are complete shut off) are available in Chrome or White....

Thanks for this. That would do the trick.

Just to figure out a shipping cost to Toronto, that will not have me take a 2nd mortgage :h

I just looked at Canadian Tire and found this. Looks like it woud do the job.
