Removing the stove/oven

YAY! I got the stove out! managed to find the original book in my file (has tons of stuff from the previous owners) that showed how to install the stove so I just went backwards lol!

FWIW, I didn't even try to start my old fridge. I pulled it in favor of gaining the space and now use a 120 V dorm fridge. I can run the fridge with an inverter and solar. I figured that if I was making a trip with many roomies, I'd enlist an ice chest. With just me and the Polish Princess, the little fridge does the job.

No I haven't even tried yet. I'm a little nervous about messing with the propane lines when I know absolutely nothing about propane. I do have a handyman coming Saturday. I'm hoping he will be able to help me, his grandfather used to own an rv shop. So he's gonna take a look and give me some pointers and possibly (if he's not to expensive lol) help me with the major work.

And you'll be powering that regular refrigerator how?

That's kinda what I was thinking lol but my brain wouldn't come up with the word I was looking for!

You don't need to "fill" the hole, just put some insulation on the inside of the door and problem solved.

Because to replace those items it will cost me 100s of dollars I do not have. I was not prepared to put a ton of money in this rv when I purchased it. I paid 3500 for it and have already put many hours in yo it as well as needing to fix the following: new roof and frame, new frame in some of the walls, complete cab over. I unfortunately am not in a position to just sell the RV and buy another one.



The hole I was referring to was the vent going outside as I'm going to just purchased a regular refrigerator as it will be much cheaper. I don't need the cook top because I can cook just as well with an electric griddle, crock pot and portable double burner. Those items I can purchase for a lot less than the RV stove tops or ovens.

Why would you remove the RV fridge and fill up the hole? Why not put the other fridge in the same place, that's where we put ours.

How are you going to cook when it is storming, blowing water everywhere under the awning and this type of rain lasts for a couple of days. It does happen and more often than you would think. At least with a cooktop you can heat soup, make scrambled eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches. There is also cold windy days. You never know when the weather will change.
