Has anyone used this portable solar charging system? It looks pretty cool and cheaper than buying a generator to keep my batteries charged.

I started with the 100w suitcase unit a year ago and now also have two Renogy 100w panels on the roof. I unplugged from my home shore power 3 weeks ago and we have been spending nights in the RV with lights, CPAP, phone chargers and a little furnace. We have some dry camping coming up and will see how it goes. The portable will be used if we camp in the shade or need an extra boost.

Renogy has amazing products!

If you have any military affiliation they usually take 10% off.
They always have free shipping.

Call and talk to Kevin Schroyer (Renogy Sales) (909) 517 3598 ext 102 he has been extremely helpful.

I prefer the perm mounted panels, they have a 100w kit for ~$184 on Amazon. Calling direct will get you a slight discount.

It's wise to conduct an energy audit first. 100 watts is not very much energy.

We purchased one earlier this year and have been very satisfied with the unit. We camp anywhere between 8 and 12 days at a time and it has proved its worth. During these 8-12 day adventures we used to bring out the generator every 3 to 4 days and have it run 4 hours to top off the batteries, with this Renogy unit we have not had a need to use the generator. Very impressed with the solar. One thing to keep in mind, there is just the 2 of us and we do watch our usage, Lights, Water Pump, DVD Movie Player.

As for Customer support. you would do much better calling them on the phone then sending them an email, they seem to not check there emails.

Check out
Renogy on Ebay and you could save a few $.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
