Replace Oxygenics cheap hose

A few years ago I bought an Oxygenics shower nozzle and it came with a good flexible spiral stainless steel hose. I recently bought a new one for a different shower and it came with the sorriest excuse for a shower hose I have ever seen. It is a stiff as a garden hose and there is even a spiral silver stripe to look like the original. I replaced the piece of junk with this hose from Amazon which seems to be the same as the one used by Oxygenics before they went cut rate. I highly recommend it to anyone with a new Oxygenics.

By the way, I still love the nozzle, just not the hose.
  • I'm with you guys,I also flipped my faucet around to make it work so much better.

When doing an upgrade to all my faucets in the RV I found This One that had the connection coming out of the bottom.

This little mod helped make mine so much better. Was going to post a pic last night but forgot. Turned the whole shower valve assembly around so the hose pointed down not up

This is how it used to be

I've got the same shower stall and setup and I flipped my shower valve too so the hose points down. Makes a big difference.

I posted this same comment a few months ago when I installed my Oxy shower head. I agree with you on the stiff hose on the new Oxy shower heads. The type you posted the link to work great. I'm using the cheap Oxy hose for now and they do loosen up some once you run some hot water through them but they don't compare to the better hoses.
  • HAve to agree! The hose on our new one is stiff as a board. Stiff enough that I ended up flipping the shower valves around so it hung right and not got caught in my arms when trying to shower! I couldn't put a finger on the difference but now that you said it, it makes sense
