Running CSST Flexible Propane Line

I want to T off my propane tanks, low pressure side and run a line down to the side of the trailer with a quick disconnect for an outdoor stove and probably to attach the built in outdoor grill to it.
Choices are:
  • Rubber Hose - little to susceptible to road damage
  • Cast Iron - the process of getting around the tongue and down to the rails is a lot of joints
  • CSST - which I have never worked with. Seems like the best of both worlds


Irrespective, I would attach to the rails with beam clamps and rubberized pipe clamps.

Thoughts?

    Why not tie to the end of the existing black pipe feeding your stove

    Why not just put a "T" into the existing Black Iron gas line? Either at an existing joint or have the last section cut and re-threaded at the place you want the connection.

    Why is soft copper tubing not an option if encased in e.g. split loom tubing for physical protection from stones and the like?

    somewhere under there is likely a manifold where the main line splits to the fridge/furnace/hw tank. I would look for that and see if there are any unused plugs or just make a T there.

    That's the way they built RV's for many decades and it seemed to work fine. I think black iron pipe is just a lot cheaper.

    They ran rubber hose and put it above the corrugated belly panel

    Regardles of what they ran, can you still just 'T' off it?
    I added a BBQ quick disconnect fitting to my 5er a couple years ago. I Tee'd off the line where the furnace connects.
