- skramsExplorerI'm shocked they were able to buy it still that colour. In Ontario at least they can only be that when used for their intended purpose.

- hokeypokeyExplorerIn the 70's, a friend bought a bread truck and made a camper for their family of 5. He did an outstanding job.
- hedgeExplorerpretty cool actually. looks a lot better than quite a few of the converted ones I've seen.
enjoy your trip, I wish I would have done something like that when I was younger. - westendExplorerGreat album of photos and it's cool to see the young folks actually building something.
- Bird_FreakExplorer IIWhen I was a kid we converted a 1956 chevy school bus. Used it for several years and pulled a old 19 ft Chris Craft.
- dcb17bExplorer IIThere are a ton of sites dedicated to bus conversions(skoolies). I have sat for hours browsing them. Some of them are really amazing and some are....well lets just say not so amazing. They are cool though.
- gboppExplorerReminds me of the 'House Car' my dad built in 1958.
It was late 40's city bus, powered by a 100 HP Ford Flathead.
We took it from Pennsylvania to Kansas and back in the summer of 59.
Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures.
Thanks for sharing. - mooreadventuresExplorerGood job
