Sewer hose storage again

I liked what others have done using the 5"x5" fence post so I decided to do it as well. Only thing I did differently was mount it in my pass thru storage area (typical under bed at the front of the trailer). Mounted it with L brackets to the ceiling of the storage are on an angle somewhat out of the way. Just wanted to share another mounting option. Thanks to others for the idea!

I have been storing the hose in the same compartment for the last two years inside the box it came in and have not had any odor or wetness issues. I give it a good flush a few times with fresh water and then coil it up towards the campgrounds sewer pipe to push all the water out that way. I realize that some water must stay in the pipe but I have not noticed any issues because of it. Cardboard box is still solid and dry. Just wanted to mention an alternative.

Well ... I would say that you have been very, very lucky and I doubt I could store my sewer hose in it's original box and keep the box dry. I just see no way to get all the water out of all the folds in the hose w/o hanging it up for some time with the ends pointed down.

The tray that the hose sits in is siliconed on the ends. No water gets out.

Like nunsie I flush the hose out good and drain out as much water as possible.

I stored my hose the same way in my Caedinal for 10 years and never had a problem.

Mine is @ the front of the 5ver...underneath....close to the dump valves on an angle. Drains easy and no smell inside. And....like all my room in my pass thru.

I agree... I want our sewer hose to drip what ever it drips on to the ground..not into my storage compartment.

Our 5x5 fence post sewer storage is attached to the frame under the trailer near the dump valve.

Neat idea! My camping buddy mounted one in the basement of his toy hauler and that's where his fishing rods are kept. Neat, up and out of harm's way.
