Ouch, at least my last venture on the stupid side didn't cost me anything.
We went out to the storage yard to clean the trailer so I was going to start up the generator for power and AC. Put some gas in it, turn on the fuel valve, set the choke and start pulling, and pulling and pulling. When my shoulder couldn't take it any more, Honey started pulling the cord. The $62 generator that rarely took two pulls to start just would not run and even Honey said it was time for a new one just before asking me why the fuel thingy said off.
Sure enough I hadn't turned it off after draining it the last time but did when I thought I was tuning it on. It took two pulls of the cord after the fuel was turned on and any chance of me getting a shiny new inverter generator this year was gone and I was sooooo close. lol
