Tinted acrylic sun visors

Hi. My 1992 Rexhall Airex is missing the sun visors, though the brackets are still in place. Based on photos I've seen of other similar RVs, I believe they were originally made from a type of tinted acrylic or plexiglass material. They would measure 28 inches across, and about 4 or 5 inches or so high, with rounded bottom corners. I will try to attach a photo I found online of the same RV model that I have so you can see what I'm searching for. Does anyone have any idea where I could get these sun visors? I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!!!
  • Hi again. I write with an update that I finally got my sun visors and installed them today. Good thing I was not in any hurry! I contacted the manufacturer I mentioned previously in Jamaica, NY, and they had what I needed. But they don't sell directly to individual consumers like me, so instead they gave me a couple distributors and phone numbers I could try. I eventually made contact with Midwest Bus Parts, somewhere out in the... midwest... Kansas, I think. Happily, I placed an order through them. When the package arrived, I saw that it actually had shipped directly from the manufacturer in Jamaica, NY! So it was quite a convoluted way to get the right part, but I can't complain. The final product is exactly what I needed.

  • then try colaws rv,visone rv and the other salvage places to see if they have what you need
  • Yes, thank you, darsben1, for the suggestion. I had seen that while searching online, and that certainly is the style...but does not appear to be in the size I need. The price also made me jump, as the smallest one is 49.95 plus shipping....
  • Not sure if they have one in your area, but try Tap Plastics. They should be able to sell you just the tinted plastic material and might even be able to cut and shape it for you.

    Hope this helps.
