tv mounting bracket

Thanks all. Found full motion bracket arms regular 124 bucks on for 68 at Visions her locally. Bought two as I will change out the one in the main room so we can enjoy the recliners also.
Salesman was so good I bought a 32" Samsung smart tv for the garage as they were 110 bucks off to! Figured with the savings I owed myself a few cases of beer for hopefully the installation this week and the maiden voyage next!!!

I went to Lowes and purchased a 1/4 sheet of 1/2" nice grained plywood
I stained and mounted this on the area for the TV (after locating the studs. Works and looks good.

Looks good. Any idea if the area with the template on the wall had aluminum stud or is there some a block of wood there behind?
My toyhauler is in storage so not sure.
