Vinyl plank flooring - snap lock with history of success?

To those who have used the click-lock style (floating plank), how did you negotiate the edge adjacent to the slide-out.

The slide-out comes in and out on rollers. Is it appropriate to fasten (glue/screw/nail?) the first course of planks that functions as the leading edge where the rollers come up onto the floor (when retracting the slide)?
