Where does my tv plug in?

Anything is possible in An RV. It all depends on who and when they put the wiring in. All you can do is follow the wires.

Check the wires for current. If it's 120 volt AC then why not use the same wires? probably would be a good idea to know just where they originate though, so you know which breaker controls them and what else is on that circuit.

Follow the wires. Looks inside a closet or cabinet close by. Best thing on that young a model is to call Thor in Elkhart and ask. Call the service department, they will have a complete set of plans and wiring. I always foud them nice and easy to work with.

I'm guessing (you shouldn't do this!) that the tv is 12 volt. No reason (except for donn0128's comment) that wires would be run that far for power.

I'm guessing that since you said you can't find the socket, your TV is a 110 volt TV. But it doesn't matter.
I'd suggest making sure the power is off to the proper voltage draw and just clip the wire at the TV and then splice the wires from the new TV to the existing wire. Put the splice in a small electrical box and your good to go. Just make sure your keep the polarity the same.

If your current TV in the bedroom is running off of 120VAC and has a TV F-Connector plugged into the ANT CONNECTOR then just use that on your new flat screen TV.

My trailer has a regular 120VAC receptacle and a F-Connector receptacle right next to it for my Bedroom TV


If you have a 12VDC TV septup then someone has probably wired it up without using a standard receptacle type wall box...

If the power is not using a plug/receptacle you could use the same wires as skipnchar suggested by installing an outlet and use the old wire from the current TV set. You could do the same for the coax with their connector.

I looked into ours to add a DVD player in the back of ours... I am pretty sure there is an outlet mounted behind the TV.
