1992 Bigfoot 5th 26' Winterized for MT 4th year
Well, my wife and I will be rv'ing this winter in the E. part of MT. We own a 92 Bigfoot 5th wheel trailer and along with some modifications over the year and some local in's and out's of what to do to survive -40degrees...we've been having a blast. Our trailer has done a really good job over the years. A lot of people we know when they say they've winterized we laugh because they usually do the rv antifreeze thing ect....We are fully plugged in...Heat taped insided and out...Tanks heated and skirted all the way around with insulation. It's the only way to keep the 2-cats and 1-GS happy and my lovely wife. Owning a home and land is a premium up here in the Badlands but we carry on as it is our choice. I started pulling it with my 93 K1500 Chevy 1/2 ton converted to a 3/4ton with a bunch of modifications....it's still what we use to haul the trailer but we now have a larger truck...a Ram 3500.
So I wanted to introduce ourselves to you all and if you have any questions re: RV'ing in the Winter in ND, Montana, SD...drop us a line...maybe we can help.
