1999 Alpenlite Window Replacement

I have a 29 ft RL Spyglass Alpenlite. The drivers side rear window was cracked (abt 8 inches) in a recent storm. You can catch your fingernail on the outside of the window but not on the inside. I am going to assume that at some point going down the road I will hit a bump and loose the window.

Any help on finding a source for a replacement would be greatly appreciated. On the window is the following info; Panel Saftey Glass, Solid Tempered, AS-3 DoT 322 M228 (or 6 not sure) 7-98.

I measured from the outside rubber seal to rubber seal, 35 1/2 by 31 1/2.

Thanks in advance to any help that can be provided.
  • If I remember correctly Alpenlite used Heir windows. You might search online for someone to contact that sells them.
You might also contact an automotive glass specalist and see if they can make one for you.
  • If there are any other numbers and might be very very small... write them down also.
They would be for radius, tint etc.

I use a glass shop that several rv dealers do. They call him. He fixes. Gives bill to rv dealer. Rv dealer adds on more money. Then gives you bill.

I brought my whole window to his shop. Frame and all.
  • I owned an Alpenlite before. It has been awhile, but here is the info I have.
Contact Amack's of Woodland, CA at 1-877-662-9658
    or
Chehalis RV of Chehalis, WA at 1-877-324-8717
  • Those windows were proprietary. They had metal flakes infused within the glass and were extremely thick. Nobody(local glass shops) will have them. I broke one years ago and a place called Aubreys...509-453-4709 had one for me. They use to carry a lot of Alpenlite parts. If they don't have the window they can probably help you find one. Another place to look is Pellandent.
  • Go to www.parkin-acc.com for RV window parts. There are also several RV salvage yards in the Elkcart In. area that might have a whole window. Window model numbers are usually on a label on the frame of the window that you have to remove the window from the trailer to find.
  • You might try Kansas RV Center. When my little Snowbird lost a glass panel, it was cheaper to replace the whole window assembly. They can order a replacement Hehr window for you. I ordered an escape window, and now have 2 escape windows in the bedroom.
