- larry_barnhartExplorerAlso for information the code for new springs is on the springs and looks like a metal band that wraps around the spring. soft and easy to remove. I think ours was A-22.
chevman - larry_barnhartExplorer3/3/8" the 2/1/4" or 2/50" as I forgot is for 6000 lb axles and e rated tires.

You should have 7000 lb axles and the brakes are big but removing to see everything seems to be the better idea to me. Might even need more than the brake shoes to get a good repair. We are still on our original brakes and bearings on our 2001 35 ft alpenlite . You are living in your alpenlite and we have the summers for any fix we need and this does make it an issue for you.

I found a pic I took when I had the wheels off before and it's not a great pic but it does look like the 7200 lb assembly. Just trying to determine the width now -- 2.5 or 3 3/8". Anyone know if it's possible to determine that without taking the wheel off? There are some holes behind the assembly. I figured I might be able to put something through there and feel it. - larry_barnhartExplorerYou should have 7000 lb axles and the brakes are big but removing to see everything seems to be the better idea to me. chevman - cannesdoExplorerI did not know that -- thanks!
- VeebyesExplorer IIThere is an active Alpenlite owners group on FB. Somebody there would help in very short order. A bunch of them have 2000-2005 series, the best, units.
