2005 34TS Cardinal / Thermostat

Replace it. There are several digital ones that are AA battery powered that work much better. Hunter Douglas is one brand. There are lots of on line wiring schematics it get you going.

Replace it with this...Honeywell RTH111 /RTH221

You can use just about any digital T-Stat, they are far better than an old bi-metal, they keep a more consistent temperature What I saw after our install was when cold out the furnace ran more often, but for shorter periods. The temperature in the 5er didn't have the hot and cold swings.

X2 my exact same results!!! Quite easy to do.

Nice to have the clock feature to start warming the trailer in the morning before getting up.
