I know the one in my 2005 was the cheapest one I have ever seen. I replaced it (and carry a spare in the "box of spares"). I also recently ripped out the 12v panel and replaced it with a marine grade unit because I was tired of dealing with random panel problems. It was also the cheapest unit I have ever seen, parts of it fell apart as I was removing it.
