2017 Ford 5th wheel rear camera suggestions

I am going to order a new Ford 350 dually this coming week and I am wondering if I should get a extra Ford rear camera for the far end (rear) of the 5th wheel for a extra $350.00. These cameras are hard wired and or you have to string a cable all the way back to the rear of the 5th wheel to operate the camera. I heard Ford is working on a wireless model but it is not out let.

Anyone have one and what is your advice.

PS: The dealer said it could take up to 45 days,60 days or 70 day to get the new truck from the factory the way I what the truck. I don't what to pay extra for the big sun roof that we will not use. On a sunny day an open sun roof will cook your head like an egg.

    I bought a fairly inexpensive camera and an extension wires. Then clamped the camera to my ladder and ran the wires under the trailer with zip ties. Then to my truck bed and back door where they plug into another short extension with a cigarette lighter plug with a push switch. All I have to do when unhitching is unplug the wire in the bed just like my electric cable. Hard wired and works well; and only about $35!

    My dealer told me 6 - 8 weeks, I took delivery this past Monday, 12 weeks to the day I placed the order. Mine was an F350 SRW.

    I agree with you, I hate that sunroof. The truck was worth the wait though.

    Ordered a 2017 F350 DRW 4x2 on 8-2-17 and the dealer said no longer than 4 weeks it would be into the dealer. He said they are rolling them out this time of year.
