Great write up!
I saw a Weekend Warrior being converted from a 30 amp service to a optional 50 amp service. All they did was install a 50 amp panel in the basement storage compartment, with a 30 amp breaker feeding the factory panel inside, and a few 20 amp breakers to feed the A/C units, plugs for air compressor in the toyhouse section, and some other wiring. It went pretty well, I think the guy had installed these in several toyhouses, and finished in about 3 hours.
It is great to know that you will not be tripping any circuit breakers.
You converter is probably only a 2-3 amp load on the front circuit breaker. It might also be fed from a bathroom GFI, so if it trips, and the lights get dim, you will know for sure where it is fed from.
Have fun camping!
