One thing I do.....set front to rear level then I drop front 1" below level.
Set rear stabilizer jacks on 6X6X12 wood blocks (so stabilizers don't have to travel as far...makes for wider stance). After setting rear stabilizer jacks nice and snug I raise front back up to level.
5vr is pretty darn solid that way.
I do the same thing as it puts a touch more load on the rear than you can do with the crank.
Additional thing I do is to put wheel chocks behind both rear trailer wheels and then back truck/trailer up another inch. Wife then chocks in front of the front trailer tires and it helps stop some of the movement that you pick up from tire flex as you move around in the trailer after unhooked. Randu
I once raised the front of our 5th Wheel forgetting the rear stabilizers were down, bending one side pretty badly. Yeah, I know... pretty stupid on my part. That said, raising the front of the 5er after "snugging up" the rear stabs needs to be done with extreme caution. Don't over-do it. I will have to try the chalk trick also mentioned here.
