- I currently recommend Goodyear Endurance. Just has a new set put on in early January and put 3500 miles on them in two weeks.

It sounds like the term you want is "ply rating." The number of plies a tire has have long since been superseded by "load range" and "load index" ratings. The number of actual plies is irrelevant.
