AC/Furnace problem

My puma by palomino when I run the furnace while plugged into shore power the a/c comes on. The only way to keep a/c from turning on is to turn circuit breaker off to a/c. Wondering about fixes? Thinking maybe it might be the thermostat but I don't know for sure.
