my 32 ft. bounder came with one ac. I added a second small one that I could run when the electricity was weak and if it was ruined, no huge loss.

Were Texas campers. We had a 31 ft. Durango w/2 slides and 1 15K a/c did the trick, Barely. Now we have a 36 FT w/ 3 slides and 2 A/C's are what it takes. We started with one and added the second after the first trip.

Not when it's warm out - thankfully!

The eastern side of the state does get warm enough for AC on occasion but it's a desert over there so no humidity there either.

Yes, we need the two AC in the South. We use ours primarily for cooling off the trailer after driving in Summer afternoons. I know there are times and places when two ACs would be needed through the day, but we have never been in that situation. We never run the bedroom AC at night. Sometimes we run the bedroom unit in the early evening and turn off the main AC. Nice for watching TV in the living room with no AC running.

In AL I highly recommend 2 A/C units. The voice of experience speaking. :)

I got two when I bought my fifth wheel and I wouldn't have it any other way. 2 units will cool down the unit much faster then 1. And you WILL eventually need that second one if you camp in the lower 2/3 of the continental US. I was in Iowa last year a day after Labor Day and it was over 100 degrees.

Don't run the bedroom unit at night - won't need to anyway. Also nice to be able to run only the bedroom unit in the evening while watching TV, etc.

50 amp is no big deal - you can always plug in to a 30 amp unit and run a single AC unit. Only downside is the CGs will charge you more for 50 amp.

I'm with you on this one Bumpy as I most likely will not run the bedroom one at night.

I mostly just want it to keep the temps down during those 90 plus degree days when my 4 children are in and out all day long:(

Bought a 31 ft. Cameo in Colorado. Very well insulated so when we got to Texas thought it would be OK with 1. It was not!!!. Later installed one in the bedroom. I won't buy one without both from now on.
