Not all 12V compressors are created equal. If it plugs into a cigarette lighter outlet, it's fine for bike tires. It'll take way too long to fill truck tires.

I bought a less expensive, but very capable Q89 dual piston air compressor. It connects directly to the battery of your vehicle, and draws 45 Amps. Delivers 3.17 CFM (compare that to any portable 120VAC compressor), and can deliver 150 PSI.
