i have a 2011 cyclone and am changing my hauler to a kenworth semi. will a lippert air ride pin box bolt up.
  • I put a Trail Air pinbox and eliminated all the chucking I had with the Mor Ryde box that came on the trailer. Love it.

Most of the ones hauling with the semi trucks install air ride hitches on the truck, like the Trailsaver, Comfort Hitch ( Air cells) or what I have is the ET Hitch especially designed for just this purpose but will warn you not cheap.

Not cheap, but probably significantly better than just a pin box with a shock. I installed the TrailAir on my 5er several years ago in an attempt to minimize chucking when towing tandem. I notice next to no difference in the way the trailer rides. I wouldn't spend the money again.

Same, I felt the TrailAir pinbox was no benefit whatsoever.
    X3 Mine is pretty worthless.

  • Howdy!

When I towed using MDT it was well known to use a air ride hitch as mentioned above to tow with a HDT or MDT. It was stated then and I believe now “ you can pay now or pay later”. Simply meaning buy the air ride hitch or pay for the structural damage to the RV later. Some people actually use a air ride hitch and air ride pin box.

  • When I had a International MDT pulling a Mobile Suites 17,000 lb trailer I ran a Trailer Saver Hitch and loved it, made a huge difference in ride for the trailer and the truck. I do believe the hitch will bolt right up for you.

  • When we tow and the alpenlite is floating up and down it is a no brainier to understand what that means. Air hitch since 2001. Chevman
