Already have 1 Carlisle tire so???????

Had to repalce a tire last year as we had a blow out on stock tire. Not much choice when on the road for tires. Bought what I could find a Carlisle RADIAL TRAIL RH 225/75-15 Load range E. So at least I would still have a spare to do the rest of our trip. I know I've read some bad stuff about Carlise tires but this is a newer tire they have out or so I think. My question is Do I just buy 3 more of these used my old tire for emergency spare. Or Go out and buy 4 Maxxis tires and use Carlisle for spare:?

    Buy the Maxxiss and I wouldn't (and dont) even use the carlisle for a spare.

    They have'nt fix the problems yet?

    Noticed your signature POS honda, mine runs like a champ probably over a 1000 hours on it. Go figure

    I haven't seen any evidence that carlisle has dealt with their problems.

    Ya, my Honda has been a dog since I took it out of the box and it took 18 pulls to get it started. I never store it with gas in it and it still usually takes 30-35 pulls to start.
    My buddy bought a Yamaha - takes like 3 pulls.

    Just an opinion , most tires fail because of age, speed, OR load.

    We put the new generation Carlisle radials on our car hauler. 14000 miles and three years with no issues to date. I check the pressures every day before we hit the road.

    Ran Carlisles for 5 years, no problems. But at 5 years, they started popping, 1 each trip... Check the dates on your tires..

    Yeah I believe original failed from load. Might of struck something as well on road. Hence why I'm upgrading to load range E. Buddy has same trailer and put Maxxis, so fit and extra $150 I'll just go that route and keep Carlisle for spare as it worked 600 KM So far. I would tend to think that they fixed their issues on the tires know. They would be out of business of they were still that bad. Just my two cents.
