When we ordered a previous trailer they said 8 weeks...it took 10. The delay was that they were having trouble finding drivers to make the deliveries..
It sat finished at the factory for 3 weeks waiting.
Overall it was worth it. We got just what we wanted.
I think I'd tell the dealer to take off the delivery charges and go get it myself. :-)
Lyle - TheAmRheinsExplorerWe were in the Elkhart area last weekend. I saw signs everywhere Hiring Drivers, especially for Canada deliveries
Hope you get yours soon. - 2008WildcatExplorerNot only a driver shortage, but the recent Dometic electric awning motor recall delayed every delivery for 2 weeks.....
- TheAmRheinsExplorerI was in Goshen this week and there where signs everywhere wanting drivers for Canadian deliveries.
- et2Explorerlol, at least you didn't order a new Dodge Ram 3500 with the Cummins. :B
- TonyInPaExplorer..
- WiscampsinExplorerWe ordered our 5er late Feb of 2012. Dealer said the usual '6-8 weeks'. Dealer called us after 6 weeks and said it will be a 2014! It arrived at the dealer 1 week later so a total of 7 weeks. Spring is not only the busiest time for manufacturers but also for the delivery people. I agree with others, getting exactly what you want will be worth the wait.
- B_O__PlentyExplorer IIIt's too bad there isn't any money to be made delivering these trailers. If it paid a little better they would have more drivers than they could handle..
B.O. - lee_worsdellExplorerwell just told its shipping problems, not enough drivers. I told them I would go but no luck.
- fla-gypsyExplorerWhen I ordered my TT back in 05 I was told 6 weeks and it arrived in less than 4. I think it has a lot to do with where they are in the production cycle and how many units of each model they are building. If orders for the same floorplan are added to the run then it gets longer and longer pushing subsequent production out further and further.
