Another season ends

We were headed our this coming weekend for our last one of the season. Then looked at the temperatures (lows in the 20's Friday and Saturday night and highs only in the 40's with wind) and decided to stay home. Ran the pink stuff through the camper tonight.

C'mon Spring!!

PUT away ?? I just bought my first RV a few weeks back, PUT away ?? its predicted to be the worst winter in R-KAN-SAW in 30 years ??? may be a few weeks or so I wont be able to take it out this winter. I was born and raised in Minnesota so I actually like the winters here. my high school (lol)(30 years ago) friends Facebook about the last golf outing and such, I don't miss the heavy snow. sorry you have to put away your toys for the winter, but then again maybe you have a few that come out and play in the winter ??

Sadly yes we are done camping and our baby is put to bed. Happily we are beginning our winter trips and long weekends soon. The one good part of winter is planning our camping trips for the coming season. I am retiring JUNe 30th 2015 so our travel plans will be much easier just planning around the dw.

Much of TX is a bit too hot and/or humid for us in the summer. TX lacks mountains to escape the heat. Rest of year is very nice and some great areas!

Yes there is HOPE!!!! Wife always has said "camping is your thing, I just go to be with you."

Well this weekend was to be our last. Our friends who went with us asked us if we might want to go once more in two weeks. Before I could say a word she says " Yea! We will go!!"

I thought the same thing, Really?? Who are you, and what did you do with my DW!!

In Arizona the elevations change from near sea level to over 9,000' only a few hours drive apart. That allows for considerable temp changes simply by driving a bit. The mountain RV parks close down in Oct. as well but the desert parks begin their peak season at that time.

I really feel for you that stop camping in the winter month's. Many folks do. To us some of our best camping is after Labor day as the crowds thin and a different kind of camper stays on. A very quiet, peaceful time to camp. Sadly many of our favorite camp grounds close end of September.

We've got McDowell Mountain Park in Nov, Chula Vista RV Resort in Dec, Lost Dutchman St Park in Jan, Picacho Peak St Park in Feb, Lake Pleasant Regional Park in March, and we're working on April now. Love that winter camping :B

Do this several times a year,cold spell, blow lines drain water tanks pink stuff in P traps. Then we will go out for a long weekend. this is done several times a year.

Sorry for being misleading.. the surprise is that she NEVER wants to go camping after this time of year.. I have been trying to get her out for years!!! I will winterize 10 times if that means that I get out again..
