Anybody with a 2010 Ram 4dr, dually, 2wd GCVWR specs?

I'm considering upgrading to a dually, but I'd like to know what the specs are on your 2010 dodge ram 3500 4dr, 2wd, dually. If you have one, can you take a pic of the door spec sticker or tell me what the front axle, rear axle, and total rating are.

The trucks changed a lot from 2009 to 2010 and then the newer 2012's are different too. And I can't find good specs on the 2010.

Thanks,
  • Curious why the 2004 F350 that I had stated that for "conventional" towing the max trailer weight was 12,500# whereas "fifth wheel" towing max trailer weight is 13,000#. The GCWR was 20,000# for either. The 2011 Dodge I bought just states that the max "trailer" weight for this rig is 13,250# with a GCWR of 21,000#. Of course I was a bit surprised to find such a small difference in trailer tow max ratings between the 2004 F350 SC LWB 6.0L PSD 3.73:1 4X4 SRW truck and this 2011 Dodge 3500 CC LWB 6.7L CTD 3.73:1 4X4 DRW truck. I know the payload rating is substantially different but the trailer tow ratings aren't.
  • As previously suggested, the Body Builders Guide is the authoritative source for Dodge truck specs. You will not find a GCWR rating on the door post.
  • I would suggest you look for a late 11 HO they have 150'# more torque.

    My combined load on truck is nearly 14K but I am well within tire and axle ratings. My combined load is 28K and the truck handles the load very well.

    Thanks,

    You may want to specify the rear axle ratio that you are considering. I know I recently bought a 2011 and there is a substantial difference between the 3.73:1 and the 4.10:1 gears.
  • Better yet is Dodge Body Builders guide specs as one size GCWR don't fit all here as GCWR for a '10 3500 DRW ranges from 19k to 24.5 K lbs all depending on CLICKY LINK the different truck configurations.
    The link is in a 32 bit. Google '10 dodge body builder guide may be another option for opening their spec pages.

    FAWR = 5k or a 5.5K depending.....
    RAWR= all 3500 DRW Dodge trucks have those big 9750 lb rating for carrying GN/5th wheel trailer hitch loads.
    GVWR = 10500 to 12200 depending on ......
