An acquaintance of mine rolled his camper over on ice a few years back. Same thing- hitch head popped off of the arms.
In talking with B&W, they said it was by design to keep the camper from pulling the truck over in the event of a rollover.
I think I feel that way- but I like the idea of the truck definitely being kept in front of the fifth wheel vs. it coming through the back window.
So basically- I just don't want to wreck and find out in either direction. :B
