- WyoTravelerExplorerTruck bed rails seem to have changed recently. I see a lot of 5vers going down the highway looking like they are ready to take off into flight. If I ever decided to go back to a 5ver I would measure the PU bed height & bed rail height. Then measure 5ver height at level. Calculate hitch height & adjustment on 5ver. If I couldn't get 6" clearance I wouldn't buy. My Alpenlite towed down the highway level & with 6" clearance I had no problems. Measure this stuff before you buy. Don't rely on the dealer.
- NorskemanExplorerFrom Husky hitch - - 6 inches normal roads - 8 to 10 inches off-roading.
- ccmretExplorerThat is what I was thinking. I have the room to adjust with the B&W Companion Hitch....32TT to 40 -5th wheel is a huge difference.
Thanks..... - rev_man1ExplorerMost shoot for 6"
