Bedroom a/c dead

Question

The bedroom a/c in our new 5er will not turn on. It is:
Dometic 640315 Duo Therm 13,500 BTU Penguin Low Profile Air Conditioner Upper Unit with the Dometic 3310700.000 ADB Mechanical Thermostat Shell.

I'm truly not a handyman, nor an electrician, but the controls on this unit are hard to read and do not work. The circuit breaker for the 2nd a/c is not tripped, and it did run during our PDI, but nothing now. Is there another fuse that might be tripped? Our dealer (4 hour drive away) has been real good to work with, but for some reason can't even give us the serial number on the unit so I can register the warranty. They installed the unit and did not record the number, and say the s/n is not on the invoice when they purchased it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you checked the 12V circuit to the thermostat?

This does not sound like a good dealer at all, very shoddy work to not keep customer information like that.  If you are handy enough, you can take the control unit off of the ceiling and the model/serial number should be on a sticker up in the air return.  If you look up in there and see that there used to be stickers, but no more, you need to let whoever installed the unit know that this is unacceptable.

Are you connected up to a 50AMP service connections. Each of the two air conditioner 120VAC power from one of the two power zones from your circuit breaker panel. Both power zones may only get active when you are running from a 50AMP service connection.

Just something to check - I have never played with 50AMP trailers - just going from what I read on here about having two air conditioners installed in trailer.

If you are connected to your house only using a 30AMP RV adapter then it is possible your second zone is not powered up in your trailer.

Also as others have said your 12VDc power should be connected as well to supply power for the thermostats.

Thanks for the comments.  This unit has no wall thermostat, just the controls on the unit.  And one replier was correct, if I was handy I could take the cover off the a/c unit and find the serial number.  Unfortunately, I am not handy.  A lot of times when I take the cover off of something where it is not clear how to do it, then covers do not go back on correctly.  It should be covered by warranty, but I can't register the warranty without the serial number.  I guess that I will have to foot the bill to take it to a local RV place to check things out, then have them wait to fix the unit until I get the warranty in place.

Just an fyi..The second zone will power up if not connected to 50 amp... Prolly cant run both at same time but each one has its own zone.I can turn both my 15000 btu ac on with only 30 amp.Cant run anything else but it will power on if I try.But I only run them both when connected to 50 amp.
Your serial number should also be located under the shroud on the roof.
