Yep, road sucks, I usually veer off to the south and take the dirt road that parallels Bessemer, it might have a few more whoops and is softer but that bedrock on Bessemer is horrible, really rattles the rig, can't be good for it.

I will not tow our rig down that crappy, jacked up road, period. Cougar Buttes is much nicer, just a couple of miles before Bessimer.

Agree but D37 events are more often off Bessemer or Camp Rock. Camp Rock is awesome road but a LONG way in to North Anderson dry lake where we stage most events.

Bessemer is still like that ??? I can't believe that it's still like that after all these year's. Why can't BLM carve out a road just east of it whith less rocks ???

We went to the Barstow Poker Run last weekened and a lot of the roads leadding in have just been recetly dozed. Really nice. Thanks BLM for that.

Where is Couger Buttes road. Don't think I've ever seen it.

Last time I was at Cougar Buttes (a few years ago) there were Cougars running all over the place-

There is a road just west of Bessemer Mine Road that you can use, last time I was down it it was not too bad, runs parallel to Bessemer. There's nothing that can be done with Bessemer between the HWY and Soggy, its all bedrock as for cutting in a new road just grade the one that's been cut to the west and abandon Bessemer would be my suggestion.

However the crappy road keeps some of the riff raff out. Once you hit Soggy its not too bad up to the Rockpile, then it's pretty whooped beyond that.

I have been riding there since I was in high school. Road is the same now as it was 20 years ago. But the riding is awesome and it does keep the riff raff out.
