If LT tires had the same blow out issues as the ST tires, they'd be recalled in an instant. Remember the Firestone recall? But since they are on trailers no one cares how much they fail.
I've seen newly delivered trailers with blow out damage. Even saw a spare that had blown out while mounted on the rear bumper. And I've heard of a few who had spares blow while mounted under the trailer as most of ours are. How do you explain a spare blowing up? A spare that has never touched the pavement? My only answer is Chinese made junk.
I still don't understand why anyone would have an ST tire. A tire that is temperamental about how fast it is towed or how much air is in it, one that is just waiting to blow even when mounted as a spare.
I've never had ST tires on either of my trailers and have yet to have a tire related issue. Unless, of course, I just jinxed myself. lol
