Brought the 5er home from storage.

We brought the 5er home from storage. Getting rady for a southern trip in the next week or so. Did an inspection yesterday after a very hard winter, that is not over yet. The only thing I can see that suffers was our TV. It has a crack in the frame in the top left hand corner. Fortunately I still have 2 months on factory warranty. Took pictures and showed them to my dealer. They will send the pictures to coachman and hopefully get a new TV.
After reading some of the post over the several months very thankful that is all that happened.
  • Life is good if that is all that you found. When it finally is warm, be sure to get on the roof again to see if any of the dicor sealant pulled away from the roof penetrations.

Re the plastic trim, it was probably dropped during install with a hairline crack you did not or could not see. That area around that small crack did not shrink uniformly and it enlarged slowly with each freeze/thaw cycle.
  • That is strange why the tv plastic cracked.Plastic gets brittle in freezing weather but only when its hit.Did it crack after bringing home from storage.I wonder if the ride home cracked it.
  • I wonder why the television frame cracked? Unless there was some form of thermal shock or something hit it, it should have been able to take the cold.
  • LOL
At first I thought you were talking about your tow vehicle :E

Television cracked right. I always unplug both of ours and just let em freeze for six months. Last year it took like 2 hours to warm up when I turned it on, before it would display correctly.
