Castaways ocean city, md

Anyone recommend a good site for Easter wknd in a 35 ft 5th wheel??? Have never been here before so I'm not sure what's site is good and which are not? Can someone help me out? Can't imagine it's gonna be a full house this early in the year. Thanks
  • We stayed at Castaways a few years back... took a site that backed up to the golf course to the south. I would entertain paying a few bucks more for a premium site if we had a chance to go there again. Be sure to hit the BBQ shack on the road to OC - Awesome pulled pork! Real clean campground with great laundry and pools...

    Enjoy!
  • As dieselbobcat says. We were there last fall for a bluegrass festival. Had a backin site close to the office. The premium site area is nice I guess but if you are not in one of the waterside sites your view is like being anything but the front dog in the sled dog team.
  • BBQ place probably won't be open that early in the year. It's 5 miles from my work, yum yum.
  • If you want a quiet less crowded area, they have a nice grassy section on the right immediately before you get to the office. It is a nice field on a loop. We always stay there, it is out of the way of the crowds and nice and quite for the dogs to not be bothered when we go out. The sites there are more roomy as well. Its just a short walk to the water.
  • Try site 12b or 31b . Both water view. However if you stay in that area (club castaways) beware it is windy. If you don't want much wind stay on the office side. Good luck. PS castaways was sold new owners
  • We have stayed in the first row by the office several times now and have enjoyed it, most of the sites are nice, but if you don't like traffic stay away from the pool/store also the tiki bar. Very loud there and tons of people, we love too visit down there but I don't want to have a spot there! Castaways is our favorite campground and haven't had a bad stay yet!
