As a regular Discount Tire customer, I truly hope you're right. I have no first hand knowledge of their tool calibration processes and standards. There are probably millions of people in vehicles, however, who are relying on them to have done their jobs correctly.

Simply =ask= the manager next time you're in, what their standards are. Since most of their policies are now lawyer-driven, you can bet that their tools are pretty durn accurate.
